Meet Debbie Brindle

Hello, my name is Debbie Brindle, Linden Community School’s Community Education Director. I have been an employee of Linden Schools since 1989 and the Community Education Director for the past 4 years. Don’t tell anybody, but I think it is the best job in the district, certainly the most enjoyable. My husband Paul and I and our two children, Ben and Mandy, built a new home in the Linden area 3 years ago. We have a menagerie of animals, from miniature horses to a llama, that keep us busy, but we love it. I grew up in Branson, Missouri and we travel there two or three times a year to visit my family. We stay at a little resort on Tablerock Lake where we like to fish and ski. My hobbies are cooking, reading and antiquing. I look forward to the time I can do all of that full time instead of finding time to fit them into my hectic schedule.

I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to Linden School’s Community Education Department. For those of you who are not familiar with Community Education, I would like to explain our function in the district.

Linden Community Education creates and facilitates enrichment programs for both youth and adults. These enrichment programs run in your school buildings after school hours. We offer a wide variety of programs to enhance your hobbies and/or open doors to new endeavors. Linden Community Education publishes an enrichment brochure that is mailed to residents of Linden and surrounding school districts three times a year; fall, winter and summer. All programs and classes are provided at a very reasonable cost and we offer senior citizen discount as well.

Linden Community Education coordinates the scheduling of facilities for community use. The facilities of your school are available for special community events, service clubs, organizations and youth activities. If we can help your organization or club, please stop by the Community Education Department located in the high school to fill out a "Facility Use Contract". We ask 10 days notice in order to assure room availability.

In addition to enrichment programs, Linden Community Education Department provides the following services: Preschool programs, after school academic and recreation, summer tutorial programs, United Way sponsored programs, American Red Cross safety classes, special events and speakers, publication of the district newsletter, the Linden

Hi-Lights and publication of the District Calendar.

It is my goal as the director of Linden Community Education to provide quality enrichment for the Linden community and surrounding area. My office has an open door policy and I welcome any idea or suggestion that would enhance our programs. Linden Community Education office hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. If you should have any questions regarding any of our programs or the services we offer, we can be reached at (810) 591-9573.
