GUIDELINES FOR
MINI GRANTS PROGRAM
The Linden Community Educational Foundation is making funds available to
the employees of the Linden Community Schools to be used for innovative
educational programs and/or creative projects that are not provided through the
school district’s operating budget.
Grants are limited to $500 for each application and may be
used for innovative ideas, projects
and programs in the following areas:
School To Work Projects:
These projects will provide students with an opportunity to
learn about work experiences that will help them in their selection of a career
or occupation.
Technology:
These projects will provide students with hands-on
experiences in technology that are not available through regular school
district programs.
Academic Incentives:
These programs will provide students with an extra incentive
to achieve academically.
Arts Enhancement:
These projects will enhance the Visual/Performing Arts
opportunities for students.
Character Education:
These projects will include parenting skills, alcohol and
substance abuse, family values, citizenship and teen age pregnancy.
Curricular Enhancement:
These projects will enrich the current curricular program in
ways that the current school district funding does not provide.
Tapping Community Human Resources:
These projects will include senior citizens, retirees, and
any other people with expertise that will enhance the education of students.
Fitness, Health and Wellness:
These projects will provide students with the opportunity to
learn about fitness, health and wellness as a lifelong goal.
