What is an educational foundation?

It is an educational foundation which is a non-profit, tax-exempt organization formed by local residents with a common goal of receiving and distributing money to fund meaningful, innovative projects, and scholarships that will benefit the school district.  The foundation is governed by an independent Board of Trustees who serve without pay and work independently of the local school board system.  The  Linden Community Educational Foundation provides financial support and stimulate educational opportunities that are not available through the school district's normal operating budget.
