1st ANNUAL KAYLA O’MARA  X-COUNTRY INVITATIONAL 2008

 

The Goodrich High School Cross Country team would like to invite you to the 1st Annual Kayla O’Mara X-Country Invitational. The Invitational is a 5k race that is 70% visible to spectators with split clocks at the 1 and 2 mile marks. Like the State Finals at MIS, the 5k course at the Goodrich Middle School is semi-flat with limited turns so expect PR’s.  The start and finish line are within 50 meters of each other.  There will be two divisions based on enrollment.  There will be races for your Middle School boys and girls.  A portion of proceeds to benefit the Kayla O’Mara Scholarship Fund.

 

When:                           Saturday, October 11, 2008

 

Where:                          The Kayla O’Mara X-Country Invitational will take place at the                       

                                        Goodrich Middle School.

 

Tentative Schedule:       9:00 a.m.                                 Division 1 Varsity Boys

                                      9:30 a.m.                                 Division 1 Varsity Girls

                                      10:00 a.m.                               Division 2 Varsity Boys

                                      10:30 a.m.                               Division 2 Varsity Girls

                                      11:00 a.m.                               J.V.  Boys                               

                                      11:30 p.m.                               J.V.  Girls

                                      12:00 p.m.                               Middle School Boys and Girls

 

                                           *All Races on a “Rolling Time Schedule”.  Be Prepared.

                                     

Awards:                          Top two teams in each Varsity Division receive Trophies. Top fifteen

                                      Finishers in Varsity divisions receive medals.

 

Concessions:                 8:00-10:30       Cider and Cider Doughnuts from Porters Orchard

                                                            Fresh Fruits, Juices, Power Bars, etc.

                                      10:30-1:00       Pizza slices and various lunch fare

 

Entry Fee:                      The entry fee will be $100.00 per team. (this includes Middle School)

                                     

Deadline:                       Please send attached Contract form by Oct. 8,  2008

                                      Packet Pick-up:  8:00 a.m.-9:00 a.m. day of meet.
