Welcome!
The
special education department at Central Elementary is striving to challenge our
students at their learning level. There are two teachers here that work with
your students with special needs.
v
Carole Anderson is working with second and
third grade students.
v
We
help students with reading, writing, spelling and mathematics.
We
use a variety of teaching strategies and work hard to find out what tactics
work best for each student. In reading we have guided reading groups, along
with independent reading. These programs incorporate both auditory and visual
learning which reinforces reading comprehension and fluency. In mathematics, we
again use a variety of strategies and materials which help give the students a
well balanced approach that maximizes learning.
We
are very excited about the progress our students make and try to create an
environment that invites learning and success.
