(Juniors and Seniors)

The ACT consists of four multiple choice tests: English, reading, mathematics, and science reasoning. It is given several times during the school year at various locations throughout the county. The ACT is accepted by most colleges.

Juniors: This year, it will be given to all juniors in March. The ACT is required by most Michigan colleges and universities for admission and is used to qualify students for the Michigan Competitive Scholarship program. It is also required by the NCAA Clearinghouse for those students planning to play varsity sports in college. Use the test code 9999 for the NCAA clearinghouse. They no longer accept high school copies of the ACT scores.

Seniors needing to re-take the test, can pick up application packets in the counseling office, fill it out and mail it to ACT. Registration may also be done online at www.actstudent.org. Seniors who want to retake the ACT should sign up for the October test. It is important to note on the registration form that you want scores sent to Linden High School. You do this by marking the school code as 232-340 for Linden HS. For more information go to website www.act.org or stop by the counseling office for assistance.

*$15.00 Writing Test Fee is refundable, on request, if you are absent on test day or you change your test option before testing begins.
