PSAT/NMSQT

(Juniors to qualify for the NMSQT)

(Sophomores for practice)

The PSAT/NMQST measures skills in verbal reasoning, critical reading, mathematics problem solving, and writing. It is given only once to juniors in October. Students can sign up for the test with your counselor and is suggested for students with a 3.8 GPA or higher. The purpose of this test is to practice for the SAT Reasoning test and to qualify for the National Merit Scholarship. For more information go to the website www.collegeboard.org

The 2008 PSAT will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2008 at 7:30 a.m. for a cost of $13.00.  If your student has any questions or is planning to take it, please contact their counselor before September 26, 2008.  Tests will be available on a first come, first served basis.
