What you’ll need daily…

Pencil or pen

Notebook for math exclusively

Portfolio folder (provided)

Good attitude

Rules…

Follow directions the first time they are given

Keep hands, feet, and objects to yourself

Respect yourself, others, and all school property

Grading…

Each homework assignment is worth 5 pts unless otherwise specified

• Homework will be accepted one day late for 3 pts
• Homework later than one day will not be accepted
• Every problem must be attempted to earn credit, no matter what!
• Homework is scored on completion, not correctness (So always try!)

Journals are worth 5 pts each week (everyday must be complete or no points)

Quizzes are usually 20-30 pts and are given most weeks and are not always announced prior to the day

Tests are usually 30-70 pts

• Students are usually allowed to do test corrections which can only raise their grade
• Students must show their work on test corrections and it must be stapled to the original test
• Students will earn half the points they missed for correct test corrections if they have followed the above criteria and are turned in by the due date
