               What are packets???

Student work is compiled onto “packets.” Notes, examples, practice assignments, labs and homework on a given subject are stapled together in one group.  We may work on a packet for several days and parts of these packets may be assigned nightly.  My test are written from these so they are a great study tool .

Packets are designed to help the student stay organized.  Students get all packets for a chapter at once.  They have holes punched and are ready to put in their binders.  We number them so everybody is

organized  each time we start a new chapter.   Papers should stay in their binders until they are turned in. After packets are graded students are to

put the packets back in their proper order.

How can parents help?  Encourage your child to

bring their whole binder home when they have homework.   Check the work that is graded so you can see where they are having problems.  Use the packets to help them study for quizzes or tests.  Parents are invited to visit my classroom to watch a lesson or monitor your child’s behavior’

at any time.  Just let me know you’re coming.

I can help...  I am available most nights after school to help

your child with make up labs or any other assignments.  Just call to arrange it.

                                      Let’ have a great year!
