Student Art Work Honored by American Legion Auxiliary

Linden high school art students participated in the American Legion Auxiliary's Poppy Poster Contest.  Students designed a poster with a red poppy showing the meaning of Memorial Day and honoring fallen veterans. District 6 of the Michigan American Legion, which includes Genesee, Livingston, and Ingham counties awarded first place honors to Lani Maners and Kaitlin Garvey who competed in Class V (10-11 grades) and Class VI (12 grade) categories respectively.
Their posters move on to the state competition which has been delayed due to the cancellation of the Legion's state convention in Kalamazoo which was originally scheduled for the end of June.
