Delaney Barber 5th Grade Teacher Central Elementary Delaney Barber attended Oakland University and Central Michigan University and earned her degree in Elementary Education. She recently moved from Midland, MI. She chose Linden because she loves howwelcoming the community is. She loves spending time with her family attheir cottage in Tawas. She also enjoysreading and learning how to make things such as blankets, hats, and scarves. She grew up in Fenton and attended Fenton Schools. Now she's going to be aLinden Eagle! #LINDENEAGLETEAM

Katarzyna (Katey) Shurtz Multi-Purpose Building Manager Katey Shurtz attended CMU and earned a degree in Public Relations & Event Management. She feels this is a great opportunity to utilize her passion for both PR & education. She grew up in Metro Detroit and moved to Corunna a year and a half ago. She enjoys spending time with her kitty Loki, reading, and doing puzzles. Her mom was a teacher and she's been around education her whole life. We asked, "Why have you chosen Linden? She said, "What began as an internship atLinden Middle School and Central Elementaryturned into an opportunity to be a part of astrong community. Linden is a supportive andkind community that felt like home to me." She is a single mother to her 12-year-old son,Kaleb. She is passionate about mental health,yoga, photography, and making a difference inour community. She enjoys collecting vinyl,spending time with her son, and traveling out west whenever possible. Caylah Jones Central Elementary 4th Grade Teacher Caylah Jones earned her degree in Elementary Education at Oakland University. We asked, Why did you decide to work in education? She replied, I decided to become a teacher because of my younger brother that has autism. His ability to learn in different and unique ways inspired me to want to become a teacher than can guide students to learn in the ways that work best for them. She has a two brothers (one older and one younger). She enjoys camping, photography, and spending time with family and friends whenever possible. She also mentioned that she has two adorable cats!
woman with text T'Anne Clark Linden High School Food Service After being a stay-at-home mom, she's ready to get back out there and work for Linden Community Schools. Her children also attend Linden Schools. She has a son at Hyatt Elementary and a daughter at Argentine Early Childhood Center. Her family is very active in the winter with skiing and snowboarding. She is a former ski and snowboard instructor at Mt. Holly. In the summer they enjoy camping around Michigan. She told us she loves the Linden community and the friendships she has made here. He loves playing the guitar, riding his bike and going to state parks with his wife. After working in the the auto industry for 36 years he decided to work at Linden Community Schools. In his words, "I thought it would be nice to be in a nice environment around good people with a good cause".

She has two married sons and three grandchildren. We asked why she wanted to work in a school and she said, she always wanted to be either a "lunch Lady' or a librarian. When she was a child she remembers them being so good with kids and treating them equally...it brightened her day! Since retiring, she now wants to try and do the same thing for our students."

Linda Hargreaves Cook Aide Linden Middle School Linda Hargreaves moved to Linden 15 years ago and she loves this community. She chose to work in Linden Community Schools because she wanted to be a part of helping the children learn & grow, plus she loves to feed people! She lives on Byram Lake and loves to walk around the lake every day, followed by taking her dog Alise to the park. She also enjoys weaving and macrame. Linda loves to read, especially about history. She loves children and thinks being around kids will help keep her young at heart!
